DETROIT, MI - Michigan State Police (MSP) troopers were called to a fatal traffic crash Friday night that left one man dead.

At around 10 p.m. on Sept. 26, the Detroit Regional Communication Center (DRCC) began to receive calls of a man walking northbound in the southbound lanes of I-75.

As troopers were on their way to the area, the DRCC received calls that the man had been hit by a vehicle.

When troopers arrived, they found a 35-year-old man from Detroit in the travel lanes, police said. First aid was started, but was unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead on the scene by Detroit Fire.

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and was interviewed by troopers. She said that she was driving southbound on I-75 when a man ran across the freeway in front of her, and she couldn
