Crews responded shortly after 4 a.m. to Interstate 476 south, the Blue Route, in the area of the ramp to Baltimore Pike in Nether Providence Township for a motorcyclist down on the highway.

The first unit on scene, a MICU, confirmed that, and asked that no more medical personnel respond. That unit soon went en route to Lankenau Medical Center.

Further details were not yet available from state police.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. police and medics were sent to the 3000 block of West Township Line Road in Upper Darby for a shooting. Units were told the victim was a 16-year-old boy with wounds to a hand and leg.
