CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One person is dead after a homicide in north Charlotte early Saturday morning.

It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday on Hollow Creek Circle near Mallard Creek Road.

When police arrived, they located one person suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic pronounced the victim dead at the scene. A second victim was located at the hospital and is in stable condition, police said.

There is no word on the victim’s name or any arrests at this time.

An investigation into the shooting remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 704-432-8477 and speak to a Homicide Unit detective.
