ST. LOUIS — A 28-year-old man who was shot late Wednesday in north St. Louis has died of his injuries.

St. Louis police had responded at 11:50 p.m. to a call about a shooting in the 4500 block of Fair Avenue in the Fairground neighborhood. The victim was found inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head, police said. He was taken to the hospital and was unable to provide a statement, officials said.

The man died at the hospital on Thursday afternoon.
