Mayor Abdullah Hammoud of Dearborn, Mich., has refused to say he’s sorry for remarks he made that went viral after he told a Christian minister he’s “not welcome here,”’ reports Fox News Digital .

At Dearborn’s first city council meeting on Tuesday since Hammoud’s Sept. 9 exchange with local Christian minister Ted Barham during a street renaming debate, Hammoud also didn’t apologize for saying he would “launch a parade” when Barham left town.

Instead, Barham opened his remarks by repeating the words that went viral at the previous meeting.

“The mayor, in a way, cursed me, as was seen around the world. And I would like to repeat what I said that day to you, Mr. Mayor: ‘God bless you,’” Barham said.
