On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Brett Paradis of Leighton Media will be inducted into the Minnesota Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
He is among seven 2025 inductees.
Paradis began his career in broadcasting in 1979 when he went to work for his father, Mel Paradis, at KLGR in Redwood Falls, Minnesota.
He credits his dad for teaching him the ins and outs of running a successful business, from budgeting to hiring, developing a successful team, and making well-informed decisions. Those were formative years for Brett, and they laid the foundation for what would become a more than 45-year career in the radio broadcasting industry.
In 1983, Brett left his father’s employment and spent the next five years in Mason City, Iowa working for Paul Hedberg, who had a group of radio stations in several markets. Br
