Gearing up to tackle threats to its cyber systems, the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Kanpur to strengthen cybersecurity for its operations in Pune and Nagpur.
The MoU was signed by Shravan Hardikar, Managing Director of Maha Metro, and Tanima Hazra, CEO of C3iHub, a subsidiary of IIT Kanpur, at Nagpur on Friday.
Hardikar said,”The threat to cyber systems is a serious issue, and Maha Metro is not immune to such risks. Since Metro operations involve multiple departments and connect directly with the public, it is essential to have a strong system to defend against cyberattacks.”
