AL.com recently published a rather benign column I wrote on DC’s dangerous crime rate and my support for the National Guard helping to protect the lives and property of Washington citizens.

Imagine my surprise when Dan Sanders and Indivisible attacked me for wanting to protect American citizens from vicious criminals.

Two remarkable aspects of the column jump out.

First, Sanders/Indivisible emphasize that Washington crime is not as bad as crime in other (Democrat-run) cities.

So what!

That’s not a rational argument against better crime-protection in DC so much as it is an argument for national guardsmen in even more dangerous Democrat-run cities.
