A legendary big cat has been spotted on the prowl. The beast of Durham has been videoed in a field near a farm where a calf was disemboweled. The sleek, black cat the allegedly the size of an Alsatian was caught on camera by stunned passer-by Andrew Bell. ‌

He managed to grab footage of the animal before it leapt under cover. He filmed it near Spennymoor, County Durham on Monday, September 22. ‌

Sightings of big cats have been reported across County Durham since the early 1990s. And in 2016 farmer Brett Forrest said one
