ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Missourians will vote on whether to reinstate an abortion ban across the state at some point.

But for now, the fight over the ballot language continued.

Last week, a judge told Secretary of State Denny Hoskins to rewrite what will appear before voters, calling it intentionally misleading.

Friday, Hoskins submitted a new version, which mentions women’s safety and the situations where abortion would be allowed. But it does not mention it would be banned in most cases.

If a judge denies this latest language, Hoskins will have five days to try again.

This all comes as a result of the state’s legislature passing a referendum this year seeking to repeal the state’s abortion-rights initiative petition passed in Nov. of 2024.
