THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The voter list will be updated again ahead of the local body elections to be held in December. Applications for inclusion of names will be accepted from Monday and can be submitted till October 14. The final voter list will be published on October 25.

State Election Commissioner A Shahjahan announced that a nine-digit unique voter number will be given to those in the list and those adding their names for the first time. It is the English word SEC followed by a nine-digit number. Voters should provide this number as a reference if they want to make corrections, change booths or wards later. This is the first time that a unique number is being given in the LSG voter list. Those who have completed 18 years of age in January this year will be included in the list.
