VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A 38-year-old Port Orange man arrested early Saturday is accused of shooting another man in the leg, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

Jeffrey Crabtree faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the sheriff’s office said on social media .

Crabtree was arrested following an altercation in the 2300 block of Old Samsula Road, where investigators say the man who was shot had one wound to his leg and was hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Crabtree was booked at the Volusia County Branch jail on no bond, the post states. Breaking News Alerts
