Amid the tragic stampede that has claimed at least 36 lives during a rally of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief and actor Vijay in Karur, Tamil Nadu, a video from the same event is now going viral on social media. The footage shows an unidentified person from the massive crowd hurling a slipper at Vijay while he was addressing supporters from atop a bus on Saturday. Meanwhile, Vijay was spotted leaving from Trichy airport following the stampede in Karur.

The video has been shared on the social media platform X by “@tntalksofficial” and has since gone viral. In the clip, Vijay can be seen speaking into a microphone with large crowd gathered around the bus.
