Italian tennis star Lorenzo Musetti has issued a public apology after drawing criticism for comments made during his second-round victory at the China Open in Beijing. The 23-year-old admitted he let frustration get the better of him after being disturbed by persistent coughing from spectators.

Outburst During Tense Match

Musetti, the tournament’s fourth seed, was visibly irritated during his three-set win over Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard on Friday. At one stage, he mockingly imitated someone clearing their throat before saying in Italian: “They cough every three seconds."
