PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Oregon lawmakers are weighing in after President Trump announced in a social media post his intent to send U.S. troops to Portland, “authorizing Full Force, if necessary” to handle what he is calling “domestic terrorists.”

The announcement comes not even a day after multiple public officials - including Mayor Keith Wilson, Sen. Jeff Merkley, Rep. Maxine Dexter and others - held an emergency press conference when increased signs of federal presence were reported at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Portland.
