NEWVILLE, Wis. -- A SWAT team was activated early Saturday after a man allegedly armed himself with a knife at a commuter lot in Newville, according to the Rock County Sheriff's Office.
Several agencies responded to the 1100 block of N Goede Road at 1 a.m.
The sheriff's office said the man had an active felony arrest warrant and attempts to contact him were initially unsuccessful, as he refused to leave his vehicle. After several hours, the man was eventually taken into custody.
He reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and sheriff's office officials said once he was arrested, the man received medical care on scene and was taken to a nearby hospital by EMS.
The sheriff's office said in addition to the warrant, the man will face new criminal charges from this incident, and
