Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that US President Donald Trump has directed the American companies to invest in Pakistans's key sectors including information technology, energy, agriculture, and minerals.

Speaking to the media in New Jersey, the prime minister described his meeting with President Trump as 'very useful and important' for improving Pakistan's relations with the US. He noted that President Trump has expressed his desire of peace and played a commendable role in establishing ceasefires between Pakistan and India.

Shehbaz Sharif maintained that Pakistan and the United States are giving a new dimension to their trade and economic ties.

During the meeting, the discussions also covered the fair valuation of mineral resources and mutually beneficial trade agreements.
