BJP leader K Annamalai on Saturday strongly condemned the DMK-led Tamil Nadu government over the Karur stampede that claimed 31 lives and left several injured, accusing them of being “negligent” and “failing” to provide adequate security arrangements in the event.

Annamalai expressed condolences over the loss of lives in the stampede during Vijay’s public rally in Karur.

He also urged the state government to ensure proper treatment for all those affected.
