Bikers from Alberni, the Island, the rest of the province and beyond roared into Port Alberni on Sept. 13 for the city's annual Toy Run, which collects donations for Christmas gifts for kids.

Santa and Mrs. Claus lead the charge into town and were followed by all kinds of bikes, carrying along all kinds of toys. Giant stuffed animals rode on the back of some bikes and people gathered along the route to wave and cheer on the hundreds of bikers racing by.

After the bikes rode around town, they arrived at Glenwood Centre where they were presented with a $2,697.25 cheque from the Langley HOG Chapter, whose members ride in, and make a generous donation to, the Toy Run each year.
