After fielding some offers from other schools, Don Bosco wrestler Hayden Schwab has decided to remain with his family and close to home by committing to Northern Iowa.
The 2025 Iowa high school state champion, multi-time 16U Fargo national champion and U17 United States World team member announced his commitment on Sept. 27 to the Panthers, who are coached by his father, Doug Schwab.
Hayden Schwab had initially cut his list of schools down to UNI, Iowa, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Stanford, Cornell and Virginia Tech, but ultimately decided to wrestle for his father and the team he grew up cheering for.
While he's heard a years-long recruiting pitch, Hayden Schwab took an official visit to UNI , and also hosted his father for an "at-home" visit as well to help him have a normal recruit
