Monsoon continues to be active over Maharashtra after the state received heavy to very heavy rains over the last two days. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for the district for the next two days, with an orange alert being issued for the ghat sections. IMD has said the monsoon’s withdrawal has been halted with the withdrawal line still lying over Gujarat, Punjab and Rajasthan.

Heavy and very heavy rainfall was reported from across the state on Saturday. Latur, Dharashiv, Parbhani and other parts of Marathwada continued to report heavy rainfall for a second consecutive day this week.
