Huntington’s façade is changing yet again with the closing of Hana & Rosa less than a year after it opened.

The Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant on New York Avenue opened last November, taking over the space that used to be Mission Taco .

Hana & Rosa’s menu fused the cuisines with items such as chicken tinga enchiladas and miso ramen. The menu also featured traditional Japanese bar snacks like chicken wings, shrimp shumai and Tako Yaki, fried dough balls stuffed with octopus, tempura, pickled ginger and green onion. It also had a variety of sakes and beers imported from Japan.

A lease sign, as of last weekend, hangs on the restaurant's window from real estate agency Phelps & Associates. A sign inside reads "free stuff."
