STAMFORD, Conn. — A teenager from Stamford was arrested Saturday in connection to the death of a 46-year-old from the city earlier this year.
The Stamford Police Department announced that it completed its investigation into the death of Christian Dinamarca, who was struck by a car while riding a scooter in the 100 block of Hope Street on May 29 at 10:59 p.m.
Police say a 2011 BMW being driven by a Stamford teen was traveling northbound on Hope Street when it collided with Dinamarca’s standup scooter, causing him to be thrown onto the roadway.
The scooter was heavily damaged and broken into several pieces.
Dinamarca was taken to Stamford Hospital with serious injuries, but his condition worsened there. Police say he passed away at the hospital on the evening of June 11.
