SPRINGFIELD, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - According to officials from the town of Springfield, residents may want to avoid using water for washing and cleaning for much of the next two weeks.
The water will be safe to use, but may be cloudy and discolored. The operations are expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., on weekdays from Monday, September 29 through Friday, October 10.
The town is conducting water main flushing operations to clean minor corrosion and other material that may have accumulated in the pipes.
"During the time this work is performed, IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE ENTIRE SYSTEM WILL BE AFFECTED," writes the town.
