Vishal Jethwa, whose film Homebound has been selected as India’s official entry for the 2026 Academy Awards, recently opened up about a missed opportunity that left him disheartened. He lost the chance to play Lord Krishna on a television show. The actor, however, reflected on how that setback ultimately shaped his journey in the film industry.

In a recent conversation, Vishal was asked if he had ever lost a project he really wanted to be a part of. He said that he had, and when further prompted to name the project, he revealed the experience to Shravan Shah from team Varinder Chawla, saying, “Haa, television samay pe, ek show tha bhagwan Shri Krishna pe, show mujhe pagalo ki tarah karna tha (Yes, on television, there was a show on Lord Krishna, I wanted to do the show like crazy)."
