MADISON, (WKOW) — The University of Wisconsin celebrated Bucky Badger's 85th birthday with a series of events on State Street and at the Memorial Union.
The festivities kicked off with a pep rally featuring the UW Band and Spirit teams at the Overture Center Atrium from 10:20 to 10:50 a.m.
Following the rally, attendees joined Bucky Badger and the UW Marching Band in a walking parade that started at 11 a.m. on Henry Street.
The Buckywagon led the procession down State Street to the Memorial Union.
The celebration continued with Bucky's Birthday Terrace Celebration from noon to 1 p.m.
Participants enjoyed Babcock Ice Cream's new flavor, Bucky's Birthday Brownie Bash, listened to the Wisconsin Marching Band, and created birthday cards for Bucky.
