Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is currently recovering after being involved in a car accident.

Her mother, June “Mama June” Shannon , shared the details of the scary incident on Instagram on Friday (September 26). The reality star assured fans that her daughter is “resting” right now.

According to June , the 23-year-old was “t-boned” as she was pulling out of her driveway.

“It could’ve been a lot worse than it was. She is banged up a little bit but other than that she is OK,” June wrote in the caption. The 46-year-old explained that this was Alana ‘s “first car wreck” and she was headed to a hair appointment when it happened.

In the video itself, the Georgia native said her daughter is dealing with “back pain” and “some headache issues.”
