Riverside and San Bernardino counties are the focus of a flood advisory released at 3:13 p.m. on Saturday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is in effect until 6:15 p.m.

According to the NWS Phoenix AZ , “Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.”

“Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas,” according to the NWS. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Servic
