The Pittsburgh Penguins are sending The Flower off with some flowers.

On Saturday, the team surprised goalie Marc-Andre Fleury with a gigantic No. 29 flower arrangement before he suited up for the Penguins for the final time.

Fleury signed a professional tryout contract with the Penguins on Sept. 12 and will play one period of a preseason game against the Columbus Blue Jackets at PPG Paints Arena on Saturday (7 p.m. ET; NHLN, SN-PIT).

With that final period of preseason play, the veteran goalie will cap off a 21-season NHL career. He spent 13 of those seasons in Pittsburgh, winning three Stanley Cups with the team (2009, 2016, 2017).

Before the game, Penguins players wore special Fleury T-shirts to commemorate the goalie’s final time playing for the franchise.
