BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The Bowling Green Fire Department held their annual Firehouse Festival Saturday.
It is an event that allows the fire department to interact with the community that they serve.
“We really appreciate the opportunity to get out with our community,” says BGFD Public Information Officer Katie McKee. “We love the opportunity to engage with them and just have a little fun.”
There was a bounce house, a low and go maze that teaches kids to crawl when there’s smoke and a live burn to demonstrate the difference between an open and closed bedroom door.
Kids even got to dunk a firefighter in a tank with a fire hose.
