Showers, thunderstorms and potential localized flooding are in the forecast for parts of New Jersey through Sunday morning, with rainfall amounts potentially reaching up to 2 inches.
Showers are expected to continue through tonight with the heaviest rainfall expected in southern New Jersey.
The National Weather Service says there’s a marginal risk for excessive rainfall for areas south of Trenton.
While widespread flooding is not anticipated, localized urban and low-lying areas could experience minor flooding.
Isolated thunderstorms are also possible.
Temperatures will remain warm, reaching the upper 70s to mid-80s on Sunday. Winds will be light, coming from the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
