ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KFVS) - In collaboration with state and federal officials, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced the launch of the Mississippi & Illinois River Experience Tool.
The tool is an effort to gather public information so federal and state decision-makers can decide when and where future restoration projects will take place.
Users are encouraged to submit details about how they use the Mississippi and Illinois rivers.
Information submitted to the Experience Tool is anonymous and will be collected.
Scientists and engineers will use the data to inform habitat restoration so it can benefit the public.
