MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Utah football quarterback Devon Dampier found the window to connect with Ryan Davis, putting the Utes up 21-0 against West Virginia.
Utah went 3/3 on its first three drives of the game with two passing touchdowns and a third Dampier rushing score.
Over the first three series, Dampier completed eight of 11 passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns, and added 18 yards on six scrambles.
Davis was the Utes’ leading receiver at this point with 3 receptions for 53 yards and the TD. Dating back to 2023 in New Mexico, Dampier and Davis have connected for six touchdowns.
Utah’s third drive was the first quick one of the game, sitting at just six plays and coming in under three minutes. Both of the first two drives extended over double-digit plays and ate over four minutes off
