IOWA CITY — For the second time this season, Iowa football came up just short against a ranked opponent.

First, it came in a 16-13 defeat to rival Iowa State in Ames. Secondly, Indiana escaped Kinnick Stadium on Saturday with a 20-15 victory.

Both games featured similar dynamics. The Iowa defense put up valiant performances, while the offense could not muster enough points. The Hawkeyes didn't play poorly in either game but weren't able to take advantage of enough opportunities to come away victories over ranked opponents.
