WELDON SPRING — Oakville High junior midfielder Elmir Elijazovic couldn't have picked a better time to score his first goal of the season.

With a strong individual run and finish with about 15 minutes to play Saturday afternoon at Francis Howell, Elijazovic helped the Tigers post a 1-0 victory to clinch Pool B of the St. Louis High School Champions League.

With the win, the Tigers (8-1-1) earned a spot in the semifinals at 7 p.m. Oct. 15 at St. Louis University High against Pool A champion De Smet (7-3-2). SLUH (10-2-1) and Ladue (12-1) will square off in the other semifinal at 5 p.m. Oct. 15 at SLUH.
