Once again, North Carolina A&T stared victory in the face. This time, it was a winless Maine team that was on a six-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Earlier in September, the Aggies were a field goal away from tying Tennessee State, but the attempt was blocked. On Saturday, A&T rallied from a three-touchdown deficit in the fourth quarter and got two scores, but the drive for the third TD died at the Maine 22, allowing the Bears to escape with a 37-30 victory in the CAA game.
The Aggies drove 90 yards over six and a half minutes, and closed the gap to 37-23 on Kevin White's 26-yard touchdown pass to Antoine Bell. There was 12:09 left to play.
After the A&T defense held Maine at its own 35 on a third-and-9, the Black Bears punted to Elijah Kennedy, who took it back 85 yards
