JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — East Tennessee State University fell short to Mercer University Saturday.

The Bears defeated the Buccaneers 38-34.

ETSU held the lead until the fourth quarter when Mercer scored 14 points to gain the momentum.

ETSU will play Furman University next week in Greenville, South Carolina.
