Srinagar, Sep 27: The residents of Buchwara in the Dalgate area of Srinagar are facing severe hardships as the locality continues to grapple with an acute drinking water shortage. The crisis, which has been ongoing for over a month, has left many households without a reliable water supply, forcing them to rely on temporary alternatives.

According to a delegation of residents, many families, especially those living near Masjid Sharief adjacent to Goodwill Public High School, have been without proper water supply for weeks. Locals say they depend on bore wells at nearby mosques and a temporary rubber pipeline connected to a tube well to meet their daily needs.
