Pakistan has stepped up efforts to expand economic ties with Bangladesh, with the Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Ihsaan Afzal Khan, concluding a visit to Dhaka. Khan held a series of high-level engagements with chambers, businesses, and financial institutions, aimed at deepening bilateral trade and investment cooperation.

During the trip, Khan attended a networking session jointly organised by the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). According to an official statement issued on Saturday, in meetings with DCCI President Taskeen Ahmed and board members, discussions focused on opportunities in pharmaceuticals, automotive and minerals.
