Kadyn Proctor almost broke the internet.
On a first-and-10 from the Georgia 13-yard line, Alabama football offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb called for a screen pass from quarterback Ty Simpson to the offensive tackle. Proctor took the screen pass from the 17-yard line and rumbled down to the 2-yard line, breaking tackles and running over Bulldog defenders like a tank.
Proctor did not score, but Simpson made good on the opportunity, scoring on a 2-yard rushing touchdown on the next play to extend the Alabama lead to 24-14 before halftime. Proctor is listed as 6-foot-7, 366 pounds on the Alabama roster, but ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe shared a fun anecdote about Proctor after his near-score.
"I was standing at practice with Kalen DeBoer when he got the sheet from the conditioning staff," Rowe said of Proctor on the broadcast. "Kadyn Proctor has been on a nine-week weight loss program and he achieved that goal on Wednesday. He's down to a svelte 359."
Whether Georgia defenders would agree with that last sentiment remains to be seen.
