STILLWATER — Doug Meacham tossed his call sheet onto the Boone Pickens Stadium turf, then squatted down on the sideline and took a quiet moment by himself as the two-minute timeout swirled around him.

He wasn’t thinking about the week that had been for Oklahoma State football , though no one would’ve blamed him if he was. After Mike Gundy was fired on Tuesday, Meacham took over as interim coach and was tasked with not only preparing the Cowboy offense for Baylor but also shepherding the entire locker room through uncertainty.
