RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A man that police describe as a “cut throat mob gang member” has been arrested.

Reno resident Richard Blackmon was arrested Saturday for possession of one pound of cocaine and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, police said.

Prior to today’s arrest, Blackmon was granted a pre-trial release on $50,000 bail for a shooting in Downtown Reno in June of last year

A jury trial for that case is tentatively scheduled for February 2026.

Blackmon also has a prior conviction for Attempted Murder with a Deadly Weapon.
