UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — In one of its biggest games of the regular season, No. 3 Penn State once again fell short in the face of adversity and, despite the help of the electrifying atmosphere created by over 111,000 fans for the famous White Out game, lost to No. 6 Oregon 30-24 in a double-overtime thriller that could only be described as a dogfight.

The Nittany Lions and Ducks were engaged in a battle of attrition nearly all game long, hammering away at each other to see which defense would crack first.
