ANN ARBOR, MI — Zach Bryan marveled as he looked out at Saturday’s massive crowd at the Big House.

“I love you guys so much,” he said during what was reportedly the biggest ticketed concert in United States history, with him headlining it. “Thank you for the best night of my life.”

The 29-year-old country musician from Oklahoma and opener John Mayer, the 47-year-old singer-songwriter from Connecticut, were at the top of the bill for the seven-hour, five-act show Sept. 27.

It was Bryan’s first time in Ann Arbor and the first-ever major ticketed concert at Michigan Stadium, home to the University of Michigan Wolverines football team.

“SOLD OUT,” read the message on the scoreboards as fans trickled inside through the afternoon to fill the stands and field, while tailgate parties continued
