Isabella, a one-year-old black Labrador with a mysterious past, was transferred to the Humane Society of Broward County in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, after arriving from another shelter.

The constant noise and barking overwhelmed her. She curled into the corner of her kennel, eyes fixed on the floor, her body trembling uncontrollably.

Her distress deeply affected the shelter staff. They were determined to help her feel safe and supported.
