Davenport police on scene of an ‘isolated incident’

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) -The Davenport Police Department is on scene of what they are calling an ‘isolated incident.’

The incident is on 3800 block of W. Locust Street in Davenport, just west of the Casey’s General Store.

Several eyewitnesses have told KWQC there was a large police presence surrounding a barn behind the home.

According to eyewitnesses, police could be heard talking over a loud speaker to the suspect. Several eyewitnesses confirm they heard at least one shot, then police and paramedics moved into the area.

It is unknown where the gunshot originated from.

Bystanders told KWQC at least one person was taken by ambulance.

As of 11:00 p.m., officers and investigators remain on scene.

There is no threat to the public according to Davenport police.
