If the Tigers would have pulled out a victory against Texas A&M it would’ve made for the perfect ESPN 30 for 30. However, the story of Saturday’s 16-10 loss was Auburn going 0-for-13 on third downs.
“It’s unacceptable. We have too good of skill players and quarterbacks and running backs. I think we’re solid in the o-line, too. But we certainly aren’t playing like it. So that falls on me and the staff to figure out why,” Auburn coach Hugh Freeze said.
Auburn finished with 57 total plays. The team punted eight times and accumulated 10 penalties totaling 69 yards, with eight of those penalties coming from the offense.
