LOGAN – It’s gotten to the point lately that no work of literature is safe from being turned on its head by feminist Kate Hamill, but that’s half of the fun of seeing one the prolific playwright’s adaptations brought to the stage.

In the case of the ongoing production of Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really at Utah State University, the other half is enjoying the uniformly fine performances of the student actors in the show.

As an actress and playwright, Ms. Hamill has practically made a career out of adapting classic works by authors like Jane Austin, William Thackeray and others into female-centered stage productions.
