Carlos Ulberg had two simple words after he produced a stunning first-round knockout win over former UFC title contender Dominick Reyes.

"I'm coming," the New Zealand product said post-fight.

The victory at Sunday's event in Perth marks a continued rise for Ulberg, who is now clearly at the front of the line for a championship opportunity at light-heavyweight. Advertisement

With less than 40 seconds remaining in the opening round, Ulberg dropped Reyes to the mat with a vicious one-two combination.

He then pounced on his American rival before the referee jumped in to call it off.

Ulberg (14-1) has now won nine-straight fights and appears destined to face the winner of next weekend's world title clash between Magomed Ankaleav and Alex Pereira.
