Lewis Cope has been hit with the same comparison by Strictly Come Dancing fans - but it actually has nothing to do with his impressive dance moves.

The former Emmerdale star didn't hold back during his first live performance on the hit BBC One dance show alongside Katya Jones on Saturday night (September 27).

The first live show of the series saw Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas return as judges to cast verdict on the contestants, while Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were back as hosts.

The show kicked off with a special opening routine by all of the professionals, who danced through the biggest trends of the past four decades alongside all four of the show judges.
